Le Partnership per l’Innovazione regionale (PRI) hanno organizzato il primo incontro, per aiutare i 74 territori coinvolti nel progetto pilota ad affrontare le sfide di resilienza e sostenibilità a livello locale.
Nella prima parte dell’evento sono stati affrontati la dimensione territoriale dell’innovazione, la necessità di rafforzamento dei legami con l’Agenda europea per l’innovazione nonché il contributo che le PRI possono fornire all’implementazione di tale iniziativa.
A seguire, l’evento si è concentrato sui metodi e sugli strumenti specifici delle PRI per la valutazione e la risposta alle sfide di sostenibilità e resilienza nei diversi territori, in modo da favorire l’adattamento, il cambiamento e la transizione sostenibile e giusta. In particolare, sono stati presentati gli indicatori per il monitoraggio dei progressi verso gli Obiettivi di sviluppo sostenibile, gli strumenti per l’analisi dei punti di forza e di debolezza dei territori e le tecniche di policy come le Strategie di specializzazione intelligente (S3).
Le Partnership, che vedono la partecipazione congiunta del Centro comune di ricerca (JRC) della Commissione europea e del Comitato europeo delle regioni, mirano a sostenere i territori europei ad indirizzarsi efficacemente alle sfide sociali comuni attuali quali il cambiamento climatico, la crisi energetica, l’interruzione delle catene di fornitura, pur nel rispetto delle specificità e delle soluzioni su misura necessarie per ognuna di esse.
Il prossimo incontro sarà aperto a tutti gli interessati alle politiche innovative per la trasformazione territoriale e si terrà l’11 ottobre, durante la Settimana europea delle regioni e delle città, nella forma di un laboratorio online dedicato alla presentazione dell’iniziativa e al quadro strategico sviluppato dal Centro comune di ricerca.

Partnership for regional innovation: the first meeting is underway
The Regional Innovation Partnerships (PRI) organized the first meeting, to help the 74 territories involved in the pilot project to face the challenges of resilience and sustainability at the local level.
The first part of the event addressed the territorial dimension of innovation, the need to strengthen links with the European Agenda for Innovation as well as the contribution that the PRI can provide to the implementation of this initiative.
Following this, the event focused on the specific methods and tools of the PRI for assessing and responding to the challenges of sustainability and resilience in the various territories, in order to promote adaptation, change and sustainable and just transition. In particular, indicators for monitoring progress towards the Sustainable Development Goals, tools for analyzing the strengths and weaknesses of the territories and policy techniques such as Smart Specialization Strategies (S3) were presented.
The Partnerships, which see the joint participation of the Joint Research Center (JRC) of the European Commission and the European Committee of the Regions, aim to support European territories in addressing effectively the current common social challenges such as climate change, the energy crisis, the ” interruption of supply chains, while respecting the specificities and tailor-made solutions necessary for each of them.
The next meeting will be open to all those interested in innovative policies for territorial transformation and will be held on 11 October, during the European Week of Regions and Cities, in the form of an online workshop dedicated to the presentation of the initiative and the strategic framework. developed by the Joint Research Center.
